when i look at my plants’ growth it reminds me of impermanence & the fact that life is always changing. it’s comforting & brings me back to the present moment.

for as long as i can remember my father has been meditating as a daily practice. he gave me a few books by one of his favourite teachers, thich nhat hanh. his words have helped me with difficult emotions & constantly remind me of the importance of compassion. i’ll leave you with this meditation:

“impermanence and selflessness are not negative aspects of life, but the very foundation on which life is built. impermanence is the constant transformation of things. without impermanence, there can be no life. selflessness is the interdependent nature of all things. without interdependence, nothing could exist.” – thich nhat hanh 💚
